- The Swann Maxranger4K MINI is a new entry level home security system
- I grab 4K, with infrared night vision and two bright fments
- Your software identifies people and other issues to avoid false alerts
Swann, the company behind some of the best home security cameras that we have tried here in Techradar, has launched a new smaller version of its excellent Maxranger4K CAM, with a more friendly price for the wallet.
We gave the four Swann Maxranger4K stars full size when we reviewed it earlier this year thanks to its super crunchy images, resistant construction and built -in storage, which means that there is no need to pay a monthly subscription rate if you want to save and check your video clips.
The new Maxranger4K Mini Long Rank wireless security system offers almost all the same characteristics as its biggest brother, with the exception of the solar panel mounted on the top. The Mini Chamber of size can still be used wirelessly with solar load, but will need to mount a small solar panel next to it.
This more compact camera will be an excellent option if you like the idea of the Maxranger4K, but you feel that its high strength design could be excessive to your home (its price (from $ 399.99 / £ 499.99 / AU $ 949.95 for two cameras and a center, and $ 129.99 / £ 199.99 / AU $ 399.95 each per additional cams).
The new system is easier in the wallet, with configurations of two cameras that cost £ 299.99 (around $ 400 / au $ 600) and four -chamber systems with a price of £ 449.99 (around $ 550 / au $ 800). Certainly, that is not cheap, but it is much more affordable than the full size system, and is obtaining much more than it would do with most of the entry level home safety configurations.
Small but sharp
Like the largest camera, the Mini version records in 4K, with the ability to expand the points of interest (most homeland outdoor cameras exceed 2K, or even at 1080p). Chamber software can detect heat and movement, and identify people and vehicles to avoid false alerts and provide detailed notifications.
The camera can store up to three months of safety images on a 32 GB SD card, and you can place it well from its router thanks to the Swann Wi-Fi Halow range range technology.
After dusk, the infrared night vision offers a visibility of up to 20 meters, and the activation of the two bright sides provides color recordings with a range of up to 15 meters.
