The latest departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s staff takes a major 180-degree turn

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle declined any further comment on their latest staff departure when they released a statement clarifying the update.

It was revealed that a key aide to the Sussexes, who had been part of the team since before heading up the couple’s Archewell foundation (renamed Archewell Philanthropies), James Holt, had resigned from his role.

Although his glowing statement to his former employers suggested there had been no tensions or hard feelings surrounding his departure, it would not fail to raise eyebrows in light of recent events.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes issued a similarly brief but equally appreciative statement for Mark James, noting that he has not severed any ties with them.

“James has been a stellar support to us for almost 10 years,” they said. “His enthusiasm and talent in overseeing our philanthropic efforts have been extraordinary.”

They continued: “As James moves his young family back to the UK, we are proud that he continues to guide several humanitarian trips for us abroad through Archewell Philanthropies.”

Meanwhile, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also explained that this isn’t exactly a setback for the couple, but could indicate different plans.

“Available details indicate that he will not sever ties with them but will instead return to London,” Fitzwilliams said. GB Newsreiterating that Archewell Philanthropies is undergoing restructuring and job cuts.

“It’s a very small charity; their ambitions would not be met if they expected more donations,” he said. He further added that this could be to handle UK charity affairs more efficiently as the Sussexes continue to work from Montecito.
