The OnePlus 15 landed just a few weeks ago, but even though the year is almost over, OnePlus isn’t done with launches yet, as it announced that three more devices will arrive on December 17.
The flagship product is the OnePlus 15R, which is expected to be a slightly inferior but fairly high-spec alternative to the OnePlus 15. The company hasn’t said much about it yet, but has revealed that it will be sold in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze (green) shades, that it will have a metal frame, and that it will have IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
Most phones only have a water resistance rating, and flagship models specifically tend to have an IP68 rating. That means they can withstand being submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. But the additional ratings here mean that the OnePlus 15R can also withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
Meanwhile, leaks suggest that the OnePlus 15R could have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset (but not the ‘Elite’ version), a 50MP dual-lens camera, a 165Hz display, and an 8,000mAh battery, the latter of which would even be on par with the 7,300mAh OnePlus 15.
Other devices and reservation benefits
On top of that, the company will also announce the OnePlus Watch Lite and the OnePlus Pad Go 2 on December 17, with the latter coming in Shadow Black and Lavender Drift shades. We also know that it will be 5G compatible, have an anti-glare glass finish, and come with a built-in stylus.
