Islamabad:
The lawyers observed a partial strike on Wednesday at the call of the Council of the Islamabad Bar Association after Judge Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of the IHC was prohibited by judicial work.
The strike interrupted routine judicial procedures, although audiences in some cases continued.
The Secretary of IHC Bar, Manzoor Jajja, in a statement urged lawyers not to appear before the court as a protest mark.
As a result, the list of causes of the President of the Supreme Court of IHC Sarfraz Dogar was canceled, while Judge Saman Rafat Imtiaz did not reach the Court and only heard urgent issues in the cameras.
