The Legend of the Philadelphia Eagles, Brian Westbrook, listened to chief coach Nick Sirianni to say that the team would not see his banner of the Super Bowl Lix in Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday night.
Westbrook could not love that mentality anymore.
While the entire city of Philadelphia will be ecstatic when you see the second flag of the Super Bowl of the franchise of all time on Thursday night during the start of the 2025 NFL season against the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles team this year focuses on winning another Vince Lombardi trophy at the end of the new season.

Westbrook spoke with Pak Gazette Digital after working with USAA as part of its NFL recycled start on Wednesday, giving a new car to a member of the deserving military service, where he discussed the Eagles mentality in 2025.
“The only thing I love about this team this low season was its approach,” he explained. “This low season it was not about having a return of the victory around Philadelphia and the United States saying that they are the best football team, they beat the reigning champions, and they did, that and the other. It was not about that.
“That’s what this season was low for this football team.”

Westbrook added that, in those conversations with Eagles players, he has only heard about the low season training and looking at 2025 instead of remembering the Super Bowl.
A large part of that, in the eyes of Westbrook, has been Jalen Hurts’s leadership, the team’s franchise field.

“Chip on his shoulder,” Westbrook said about Hurts, who enters his sixth year with an Eagles uniform. “People still doubt it. The MVP of the Super Bowl and people still doubt it. Then, Jalen walks with a small chip on the shoulder, and I appreciate it because I also played with that. His ability to lead this team will say a lot, and I think he is an incredible leader.”
Of course, he cannot talk about the Eagles 2024 without mentioning his greatest collection of free agents, the Saquon Barkley corridor, who directed the NFL in yards by land and scrimmage yards in his season of debut in Philadelphia.
Westbrook, after having played Barkley’s position while he was a member of the Eagles, knows how important it is for the success of the team now and in the future. But his favorite thing of Barkley is his selfless nature, where to win regardless of his role has precedents.

The bosses would have consolidated their place as a NFL dynasty if they were victorious in New Orleans earlier this year. After all, no team in the history of the League has won three consecutive Super Bowls.
But looking at this Eagles team and how the GM Howie Roseman has created this group has a large championship window in the coming years, perhaps this is the squad where the word “dynasty” returns.
“I don’t think you can throw the word dynasty yet,” Westbrook replied when he asked that same question. “I think you have to win a pair more often to do that. I mean, [2017] It was huge, but returning last year was also huge. Before you can have a dynasty, you must win some of them. But as for talent, they have the ability to do that. They have the ability to go to the back and have the ability to win a lot of games this year. As a fan, I hate throwing the dynasty until it really happens.
“So, I will not use it, but I can certainly see why people say that this team has the potential to be a dynasty.”
