Madness Chris Foreman legend has been diagnosed with incurable cancer.
The legendary guitarist, also known as Chrissy Boy, is forced to get away from the band’s concerts this year.
Chris announced that they have diagnosed myeloma, a type of blood cancer that affects bones and other parts of the body.
The 69 -year -old musician wrote an emotional note for his fans through the official Facebook page of Madness. Update to his fans, Chris wrote on Friday: “earlier this year I had severe pain at the top of the back and shoulders.”
“On June 28 we played in a show in France and it had become unbearable. I took a magnetic resonance at the end of June and found a tumor in my spine. On July 4 I went to Royal Sussex and they did all kinds of things. They made me radiotherapy that criticized him and stopped the pain,” he continued.
“Actually I also had a spinal tap: Rock N roll! I was not in good shape, to say at least. My kidneys were only based on 14 percent, which has improved greatly.
“Some people have had this for 20 years.
“One of the worst side effects is that I can’t drink alcohol, but I have dominated a non -alcoholic margarita and those zero alcohol beers are not so bad these days. It has been really difficult not to be on stage with the band this year,” Chris wrote.
Concluding: “They have worked very hard and the shows looked great. I don’t know how they did it without me, to be fair. I will not be able to make Butlins or the tour this year, which is a great shame, but …” I will return! “CB Foreman – Peacehaven, August 29, 2025 (sic)”.
Chris Foreman is one of Madness’s founding members, which was formed in 1976.
