The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova criticized the Democrats on Wednesday after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to protect women and women’s sports.
Trump signed the executive order of “No Men In Women’s Sports” from the East Room of the White House. The order granted federal agencies the power to ensure that entities that receive federal funds comply with the original standards of Title IX.

Navratilova, a lifelong Democrat who has defended justice in women’s sports, ridiculed on the other side of the hall for not doing what the president did.
“I hate that the Democrats completely fail women and girls in this very clear issue of women’s sports only for women,” he wrote in an X publication.

It is not the first time that Navratilova criticizes the political party for not doing more to protect women’s sports. He expressed his frustration last month when the House of Representatives approved the protection of women and girls in the sporting act. Only two Democrats voted with the Republicans in the bill.

“More Democrats must advance here. I know many who agree but are afraid to speak due to re -election. I say they do the right thing. Cultivate a column,” he wrote in X.
Before Trump signed the Executive Order, the White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, implored the Senate to take the bill to vote because the executive orders could be annulled.

“It is incredibly important that Congress acts immediately on this priority,” Leavitt added. “I think the president is really establishing the tone, which makes this a very immediate priority for this administration, as promised to do in the campaign.”
