After the murder of his father, Maulana Samiul Haq, in 2018, became the chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) and the attached boss of Darul Uuloom Haqqania.

The paternal uncle of Maulana Hamidul Haqqqani, Maulana Anwar-Ul-Haq Haqqani, is the head of Darul Ulom Haqqania.

His grandfather, Maulana Abdul Haqqani, was also a member of the National Assembly and Active in Practical Policy.

His father, Mulana Samiul Haq, was a member of the Senate and played an important role in the formation of new religious alliances.

MAULANA HAMIDUL HAQQQANI was instrumental in the formation of United Majlis-E-Amal, the alliance of religious parties.

In 2001, after the American invasion of Afghanistan, he founded the Council of Afghanistan of Defense, which then evolved towards MMA, a political alliance of religious parties.

Maulana Hamidul Haqqani was chosen as a MNA of Nowshera in 2002 and represented her constituency until 2007.
