- The function of the Ipados scenario manager is reaching more iPads
- That could improve multitasking capabilities for iPad users
- But iPados 26 brings even better functions to the iPad than to the scenario administrator
If you are a multitasking fan in any of the best iPads, they probably encouraged you to see all the new features that Apple brought to Ipados 26 at its World Developer Conference (WWDC). But while these additions will surely give a splash for productivity users, the company is also extending the function of the existing stage manager to even more iPads.
In case you have lost it, Stage Manager allows you to group applications in sets and then change between those sets as necessary. It is designed to help you concentrate on a task and in all the windows you need to complete it, then change to a task and a group of different applications later. It is available both in ipados and macOS.
With ipados 26, the stage administrator will be available on more iPads than before. Previously, it only worked on the 13 -inch iPad Pro with M4 chip, the 12.9 -inch iPad Pro (third generation or posterior), the 11 -inch iPad Pro (first generation or posterior) and the iPad Air (fifth generation or posterior).
As noted in Reddit, in addition to those tablets, Stage Manager now also works with the iPad Air or posterior (not only the fifth generation model), the iPad Mini (fifth generation or posterior) and the entry level iPad (eighth generation or posterior). In essence, Stage Manager works with any iPad that can execute ipados 26.
Better than the stage administrator
The scenario administrator has proven to be a somewhat divisive characteristic since it was launched, not helped by an errors, and has trouble establishing itself as an essential element of ipo. Although at first I intrigued me, I quickly found that the stage administrator was a bit halfway, and it never became a regular part of my configuration in my iPad or my Mac.
What seems to be much more interesting is the range of productivity tools that Apple has added to Ipados 26. That includes a MAC -shaped menu bar, support for complete superimposed applications, change of window size and even the “traffic light” buttons used to close, minimize or maximize application windows. The particular window mosaic is an excellent addition to the iPad, since it obtains many more window position options than only using an older feature such as the divided view.
Being able to use an iPad as a MAC offers me much more attractive than the stage administrator. That is partly due to the fact that the interface similar to Mac is much more familiar for anyone who has used a computer before: there is no new system to learn, as it exists with the scenarios administrator. And obtaining these new tools now makes it much more comfortable to work on the march with my iPad, since I no longer need to sacrifice the capacity in the portability.
Even so, with the stage director reaching more iPads than before, I could still find a audience among Apple fans who have never had access to it. In any case, combined with the new multitasking functions of Ipados 26, it is clear that Apple is taking a little more productivity administration and user interface.
