On the eve of Independence Day, the cities of all Pakistan are full of emotion as markets, streets and houses transform into vibrant green and white exhibitions. Young people rushed to obtain suits offers, children anxiously choose flags and festive accessories, and women prepare for the occasion with colorful patriotic outfits.
According to a report transmitted by the News Channel state, the festive atmosphere has caused an increase in sales of flags, accessories and the last patriotic clothing. “This year, we have seen a great increase in demand compared to previous years,” said the owner of a store in a city market.
Buyers share the same enthusiasm. “I love how the whole city comes alive with colors and energy: I am proud to celebrate Azadi,” said a university student. The citizens of several cities also expressed joy to see that communities come together to decorate streets and homes, saying that exhibitions “give life to the spirit of freedom.”
Retailers in shopping centers, local markets and online platforms offer discounts and special packages to attract customers. The shopping centers are adorned in patriotic colors, while many people decorate their cars with flags and stickers. The road stalls overflow with green and white merchandise, which adds to the animated atmosphere.
In Lahore, the preparations go beyond clothes and decoration. Bakeries and sweet stores are creating cakes and candy of independence day, with flag -shaped cake orders and those registered with increasing patriotic messages. “People love to celebrate with something sweet, and our Azadi cakes have become very popular this year,” said a local baker.
From Karachi to Quetta, merchants report energetic sales while families prepare for meetings and parties. “From traditional sweets to personalized cakes and festive decoration, the emotion is palpable,” said a market seller.
The combined energy of booming sales, colorful decorations and special treats is making this year’s independence day celebrations among the most vibrant in recent memory, according to the citizens of Islamabad.
Murree presents the i-day traffic plan
The city traffic police (CTP) Murree on Wednesday announced a special traffic plan to facilitate tourists and maintain a soft traffic flow at the hill station during the celebrations of Independence Day.
According to a spokesman for CTP Murree, the arrangements were made in the directives of the Deputy Inspector (Traffic) Punjab. More than 200 officers and personnel will be deployed to regulate traffic in Murree. All Rawalpindi and Islamabad traffic will enter Murree through the highway and RMK GT Road, while travelers who go to Azad Kashmir will be restricted only to the highway route.
