The ‘Miracle On Ice’ team is closer to the new honor

The Congress will honor the Hockey team “Milagro on ICE” of USA that altered the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympic Games on its way to an unlikely gold medal.

The House of Representatives approved the “Gold Medal Law of the Milagro On ICE Congress”, which will grant the members of the Illustrious Hockey team with Gold Medals of Congress. The bill will go to President Donald Trump’s desk to sign.

“The ‘Miracle on Ice’ team represents everything our country is about: sand, determination, perseverance and hope,” said representative Tommer, R-minn., A Pak Gazette Digital. “His historic victory 45 years ago was more than a dramatic discomfort in the world of sport: he became a decisive moment of unity in the history of our nation and inspired us all to believe in miracles again.

“I hope to see this bill signed by President Trump and I am grateful to my colleague, representative (Peter) Stauber, to ensure that this team receives the recognition of the congress they deserve.”

Representative Elise Stefanik, RN.y., also issued a statement on the passage of the law.

“It is an incredible honor to represent Lake Planid, where the 1980 Olympic Male Hockey team achieved one of the best sports inconvenience in world history,” Stefanik said. “The American defeat of the Soviet Union during the Cold War was a triumph of perseverance, unity and spirit, not only for ice athletes but for all Americans.

On February 22, 1980, Americans achieved one of the greatest discomfort in history when the Ragtag of Hockey players mostly defeated the Soviet 4-3.

Then, the United States defeated Finland to win the gold medal. It is the last time that the United States has won gold in ice hockey.
