The old announcer of the Cincinnati Reds, Marty Brennaman, expressed his frustration with the moment of the major baseball leagues (MLB) of the elimination of Pete Rose from the permanently inevable list.
Brennaman, 82, who announced the Reds Games from 1974 to 2019, said MLB made Rose eligible for the Baseball Hall a few months after his death was “the incorrect road.”
“I felt that I had fulfilled his time in jail, so to speak, much longer than he should really have had to.

“I am only trying to reconcile in my own mind why they waited as much as they did. And then, in a matter of months after Pete’s death in September, they now come out, and announce in great way that they have raised the suspension and made him and ‘Shoeess’ Joe Jackson not conscious of others, eligible to be considered for the baseball hall.”
Brennaman said Rose had accepted the fact that he would not arrive at the Baseball Hall of Fame while he was alive.
“He had faced the fact that he was not going to happen until he died. He told several different people. Obviously he wanted it to happen while he could enjoy it. At the same time, he made the comment that being in the Hall of Fame is more for the family than anyone else,” said Brennaman.

“So he was obviously thinking of his children and improving the legacy that, sometimes, has been very, very tarnished, we all know. And many of the things that Pete was involved was for his own.
Despite Rose’s wishes to have witnessed her potential induction of the Hall of Fame, Brennaman said Rose consolidated that her family could at least enjoy it.
“But I think that at the end of the day, if the best thing I could get would be to go for his family, it would probably be satisfactory for him at this time.”

Rose is MLB’s success with 4,256 career successes. It was the MVP of the National League in 1974 and it was 17 times All-Star, three times World Series champion and three times batting champion.
However, the Red Star became a polarizing figure when the news of her game in the games shook the world of sport. Rose received a MLB life prohibition in 1989, but after Tuesday’s announcement, he will be eligible to be voted for the first time.
