President Asif Ali Zardari promulgated four new ordinances, one of which increases the salaries of the state federal ministers and ministers so that they coincide with those of the members of the National Assembly (MNA).

The new ordinance modifies the Federal Law of Ministers and Ministers of State (wages, subsidies and privileges), 1975, establishing the monthly salary for federal state ministers in RS519,000, equal to that of MNA.

Before the change, the federal ministers obtained RS200,000 per month, and the state ministers received RS180,000.

According to the ordinance, the reviewed wages will come into force as of January 1, 2025.

In addition, President Zardari issued an ordinance to establish the National Agrasan Security Authority and Food Security (NAFSA), aimed at guaranteeing sanitary and phytosanitary measures for imports and exports.

Another ordinance, the Ordinance of Fiscal Laws (amendment), 2025, was promulgated to recover the pending tax amounts involved in the dispute.

The President also approved the Ordinance of the Capital Development Authority (amendment), 2025, as part of a broader set of administrative reforms.
