A traffic accident occurred near Chowk Chorhatta on the Indo road, Taunsa Road, where a bus crashed with a patrol motorcycle of the force of the dolphin, which resulted in the death of an officer and serious injuries to another on Saturday.
The coach hit Dolphin’s force officers while they were in the routine patrol. The officer Rais Khan Raja died in the place due to the severity of the impact, while his colleague Muhammad Ijaz suffered critical injuries.
The 1122 rescue teams arrived at the scene immediately and transferred both officers to the Trauma Center of the Teaching Hospital of Allama Iqbal.
Upon receiving the report, the district police officer (DPO) Syed Ali hastened the scene and then visited the hospital to ask after the injured officer.
He directed the police station worried to take rapid legal measures. Dpo Syed Ali also instructed the hospital staff to guarantee the best possible medical care for the injured officer.
Speaking to the media, DPO Syed Ali said that the coach driver was driving recklessly already high speed, which led to the fatal accident.
He confirmed that Rais Khan, who was performing his duty at that time, was martyred, while Ijaz Ahmed remains under treatment of serious injuries.
The police arrested the coach’s driver and registered a case against him for negligence and reckless driving. Other legal procedures are underway.
Dpo Syed Ali announced that the martyred officer Rais Khan would be buried with all police honors.
