Baltimore Orioles Fans received an interesting interpretation of “The Star-Spangled Banner” before sweeping the New York Mets in a double header on Thursday night, but apparently not all were impressed with the Autotoned version.
Dan Deacon, the Baltimore -based recording artist known for his “innovative electronic music,” welcomed fans with only that before the Orioles took care of The Mets 3-1 in game 1 and 7-3 in game 2.

“I think the Orioles have officially hit the background,” a person wrote in an X publication.

The video of Deacon’s performance received more than 1.2 million visits, and left fans at home and a bit confused.
“I am like alternating between ‘what this is’ and’ I am feeling it,” wrote a person in X.

But fans on Deacon Instagram, which has more than 47,000 followers, seemed to appreciate their unique performance.
“Give the anthem sings and the double heading against one of the best teams in The League Coincidence? I think not, “a person wrote.
“100% that is why the operating system won the game,” added another.

Jordan Westburg Jonronó and drove three races, while Alex Jackson doubled twice and scored two races in his Baltimore debut to help the orioles win for the fifth time in six games. Meanwhile, the Mets fell 1.5 games behind Philadelphia in the first place in the east of the National League after sinking 14-16 in the interlock game.
