The triple has changed the basketball game, and Draymond Green is not delighted with that.
This season, approximately 75 triples have been tried per game. Only five years ago, that number quoted around 68. A decade ago, it was below 45.
To put that in perspective, the Denver Nuggets are shooting a triple of 31.2 by NBA-Low 31.2 contest per contest, which would have been the second highest of the 2014-15 season by a quite large margin.

Green is shooting most of the triples in almost seven years, trying 3.5 per game. From 2018 to 2024, I was only averaging 2.1 three three a contest.
Although Green is in the same team as Stephen Curry, who is possibly the architect of this new basketball brand, does not like how the game is played today.
“Each possession is some kind of chess movement. You do not understand that today in the NBA often … you not only get it on a regular basis. It is who can run faster, who can hit more three. It is not a substance.

The NBA has also promoted freedom of movement, which has led to higher games and lower defensive grades.
Coincidentally or not, NBA television classifications have decreased throughout the season.

At Christmas, the qualifications decreased by 19% compared to the previous year. There were many factors, including a World-Yankees World Series that predictably described well with MLB standards.
The NBA is in rhythm for more than 92,000 triples attempted this season, which would be, with much, the maximum.
