- The new Philips Roku TV was $ 1,299; Now it’s $ 999
- Any size that you want whenever 65 inches
- Impressive specifications that include 4k 120Hz games in all HDMI
As we reported earlier this month, Philips has launched a new OLED TV with built -in roku. It is an impressive specification, but we feel that at $ 1,299 it was a bit expensive compared to our recommended purchase, LG B4. But it has only been given a big price cut in Sam’s Club, which reduces it to only $ 999.
A friendly OLED 4K for 65 -inch players for less than $ 1,000? Now we are talking.
Why Philips Roku Oled is tempting less than $ 1k
Let’s start with the Bit Roku. We believe that Roku has one of the best smart TV interfaces that exist, and is particularly pleasant in an OLED. That means that it obtains the family backdrop of the city of Roku and access to the best transmission services, including Disney+, Max and Netflix, among innumerable others. And you also get tons of free things thanks to Roku’s free channels.
Not only that, but you can also control Roku Smart Home products if you have already invested in the Home Smart Home ecosystem.
With the hardware, it is watching 4k 120Hz in the four HDMI ports, unusual for any of the best game televisions in this combination of size and price, much less one OLED, with AMD FREESYNC Premium, Dolby Vision IQ and “Room Fill Sound” of the 2.1 speakers system and built with atmospos. And you also get a Roku Voice remote control.
We suspect that the PHILIPS OLED uses the same panel as the LG B4 (but we do not know this with certainty), and this price cut means that it is now cheaper than the LG: Sam’s Club and great similar names sell that for $ 1,196.
So, Philips Roku Oled TV is a very, very tempting treatment. We have not tried it yet, to be clear. We assume that image processing will be weaker than the LG B4, but OLED’s perfect black tones should be present and correct, and is cheaper than any of the best televisions Oled to the same size, and it is difficult to argue with that.
