It seems likely that the iPhone 16 Plus will give way to the air of the iPhone 17 this year, and a new filtration gives us a better idea of the specifications that the new phone will bring with it, and how it is configured to compare with the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
These specifications come from Tipster @orexda (through Notebookcck), and suggest that iPhone 17 air will come with a 6.7 -inch screen that runs at a resolution of 2796 x 1290 pixels. A main resolution of the 48MP Chamber and a 12MP Selfie Chamber Resolution, as well as 128 GB of storage (with other options probably also available).
That is compared to a 6.9 -inch screen for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which runs at a resolution of 2868 x 1320 pixels. The same camera resolutions are listed, although the iPhone 17 Pro Max will probably also have another pair of rear cameras, and for this phone the internal storage apparently begins 256 GB.
If all that is necessary, the iPhone 17 air would be sitting between the 6.3 -inch screen of the iPhone 17 Pro and the visualization of 6.9 inches of the iPhone 17 pro max, in terms of screen size, so there will be many options on offer.
Thinner and thinner
None of the specifications listed here is designed to make the iPhone 17 air stand out, however, it will be the super thin framework that entails the greatest attraction. Rumors are that the phone will measure only 5.59 mm forward.
And 2025 could well be the year of the Ultra Delgado phone. We have already seen the launch of the thinner folding to date, the Oppo Find N5, and we are preparing for the complete revelation of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, a phone that we have only had a brief look so far, and that will face it in front of the air of the iPhone 17.
Based on unofficial representations that have already appeared online, the air of the iPhone 17 will come with a single rear camera, hosted in an elevated chamber bar that extends by the upper part of the rear housing. It seems likely that the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max have also raised the camera modules.
The usual updates of the chipset are expected, but it will be interesting to see how Apple prices of the iPhone 17 Air, which marks a new series within the iPhone family. Last month, Apple presented the 16E iPhone, which begins at $ 599 / £ 599 / AU $ 999.
