- The new play Driver 572.83 of Nvidia continues to cause the same black screen problem of previous versions
- The new controller update adds support for new games and notebooks of the RTX 5000 series
- The problem can occur when installing the controller or when starting at Windows 11 when a screen screen is used
It is another day and another case of many users of the NVIDIA RTX GPU that are frustrated, with driver updates ready for the game that cause numerous problems, and is a problem, in particular, that cannot be shaken after multiple attempts to resolve Team Green.
Once again, the Nvidia game driver is causing black screen problems for some users, and is the new driver 572.83 who is the culprit based on complaints on the NVIDIA REDDIT page. It can remain a black screen after installing the new controller (using a disciport), which causes a hard restart with the same error that occurs on the Windows login screen.
This is a recurring problem that seems to have started with the driver ready for the Nvidia game 572.16, which was the official launch of DLSS 4. initially I thought the problem arose from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 or Windows 11 24h2 (which is known for strange insects), but in fact it was the GPU controller.
This update provides support for RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 TIs and also add DLS 4 cancellation support for titles such as titles Assassin’s Creed Shadows and The last one part 2. Unfortunately, these additions are vital for the functionality of the Blackwell GPU notebooks, so installing the new controller is a risk that some may have to run.
Supposedly, it is not exclusive to the new RTX 5000 series GPUs, since the redditors that use the oldest GPU RTX have expressed similar complaints. For those who were not lucky enough to avoid these problems, it may be ideal to bring their controllers to the most stable depending on their configuration.

This is an important setback for the new games support and the new GPU owners
While I and many RTX GPU users have the opportunity to go back to drivers, it is not the same case for others. As I said, the updates of the game drivers as such are requested For functionality, particularly with the new RTX 5000 GPU or laptops fed by them, and that is very worrying.
I am looking forward to starting Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed ShadowsUsing DLSS 4 for its improved picture generation technology and its incredible new resolution through the annulment of DLSS, without updating the 572.83 controller, this is not possible. The possible harmful problems for my hardware are not something I want to bet, just to enjoy greater images (thanks to the new transformer model) and performance.
It is certainly a setback for those affected, and I am worried that we do not see a solution in the short term. Nvidia still has Blackwell GPU in the pipe for the launch, so it is likely that we will see similar updates of the controllers, and if the recent ones have something to do, it is another reason why you should go far at this time.
