Swann, the company behind some of the best home security cameras that we have tried here in Techradar, has launched a new compact outdoor camera that will never need to delete for the recharge, and that does not require a subscription plan to save and check its video.
The Swann Evo Wireless Solar is a compact camera resistant to the weather (much smaller than the Swann Maxranger4K solar from all over the world), and can run all day with only 45 minutes of exposure to sunlight, which gives it a lot of flexibility on where you mount it.
The camera comes with a 16 GB SD card, so it can save its images locally and maintain total control over it. If you decide that you want to keep clips in the cloud, the free Swann Free Swann plan gives you 1-7 days of cloud recording for a single camera.
The Evo Wireless Solar records in 2K with a field of vision of 120 degrees, and offers infrared night vision for recording without focus after dusk. There is also bidirectional audio, which allows you to talk to visitors and warn possible intruders.
