Aaron Glenn, the new New York Jets chief coach, brought electricity to his introductory press conference on Monday, since he is ready to lead the franchise on the margin during the next few years.
Glenn was hired after spending time as a defensive coordinator with the Detroit Lions. Despite a lot of injuries in the defense of the lions this season, the team still managed to win the NFC North and win the number 1 sown in the playoffs before bothered by the Washington commanders.

It is the fourth coach of the Jets after Rex Ryan’s departure after the 2014 season. Ryan’s jets were the last iteration of the team to win a place in the playoffs. Todd Bowles, Adam Gase and Robert Saleh have been just one season for more than .500, in 2015.
Glenn has a certain experience that previous field generals do not have: he played for them.
Glenn starred as a corner of the Jets from 1994 to 2001. He was a professional bowling player twice in that period. He also played for the Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints before retiring after the 2008 season.

“Put on the safety belts and prepare for the trip. Listen, there will be some challenges, but with the challenges it has a chance. This is what I do know. We are the Jets of New York and we are built for this. —” Glenn, through the New York Post.
“I wanted this job. I interviewed several of them, but I wanted this job,” he added. “… I didn’t want to leave the building without shaking Woody [Johnson’s] hand and make sure we had a contract. So now I’m telling you that everything else was already out of that. It was the jets and it has been so from the beginning. “
The burning message now has to be supported in the field.
Glenn and the main office will have to determine whether to bring Aaron Rodgers back and if they are going to put Garrett Wilson in the commercial block. Davante Adams has also presented the idea of playing elsewhere after New York acquired it from the Las Vegas Raiders.
