Pakistan has launched a mobile application, “Pak ID”, to facilitate the visa to the arrival of citizens from 120 eligible countries, making traveling to the country easier and more convenient.
The application, developed by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), allows users to request business and tourist visas, as well as track the status of their applications in real time. The visa process, which traditionally took days, will now be completed within 24 hours for eligible applicants.
The “PAK ID” application also offers a variety of features, which include facial recognition capabilities, documents and photo loading. This allows applicants to complete the process without visiting any physical office, significantly reduce waiting times and increase accessibility for international tourists and businessmen.
This initiative is a step towards greater digitalization of the Pakistan visa system, which is already open to citizens from 192 countries. With the introduction of this application, travelers can also receive notifications and track their visa status directly from their mobile devices.
Pakistan aims to boost his tourism industry and make the process of obtaining a softer visa for international visitors. The application is available to download on Android and iOS platforms, allowing easy access to the application process.
The application also simplifies the process for Pakistani abroad that request identity cards, continuing Nadra’s impulse to modernize administrative services through technology. With this new application, the government expects to attract more international visitors while rationalizing services for citizens.
Currently, the application only supports visa applications before arrival (VPA). For other types of visas, applicants should visit the Povs website.
The application is available for free, and Pakistan’s commercial participation and commercial participation are expected to improve the bureaucratic bureaucracy and make the visa application process easier to use.
