- The last beta firmware update of PS5 will arrive in the coming months and will include a new dualsense pairing function
- Sony will soon allow dualsense controllers to match through multiple devices simultaneously
- A power savings mode will also be introduced to reduce the energy consumption of compatible PS5 games
Sony has announced the new features for its latest PlayStation 5 Beta firmware update, which includes a simultaneous dualsense match on multiple devices.
The details were shared in PlayStation Blog, where Sony said that he thinks enabling the compatibility of his peripherals on multiple platforms “creates a more flexible and perfect game experience.”
To promote this effort, Beta’s latest update will obtain a new feature that allows Dualsense wireless controllers and Dualsense wireless controllers Edge to match through multiple devices simultaneously, which makes it easier for players to change between them without the need to match each time.
“With this update, up to four devices can now be recorded simultaneously and easily change between them directly from their controller,” Sony explained.
“For example, you can take your controller you use with your PS5, then change without problems the connection to a PC to play PC games, or connect it to a smartphone to enjoy the remote game from your PS5. With this improved flexibility, you can enjoy the games more freely on multiple devices.”
Sony also revealed a new power savings mode that, when enabled, allows compatible PS5 games to work with lower energy consumption and reduce the environmental impact.
This is part of its environment Road to Zero, and will appear as a new option in the PS5 configuration menu when it is launched.
This feature will not be in the last beta update, which will be launched worldwide in the coming months, but Sony said it will be available at a later date.
