Soundpeats PearlClip Pro Headphones: Key Features
The PearlClip Pro headphones are very lightweight, weighing just 5.85g and have a bracelet-like design that Soundpeats says helps prevent uncomfortable ears. Unlike ear-hook models (check out the Shokz OpenFit Air or Oladance option to see what we mean), you also don’t need to hook them over the top of your ears to get a secure fit.
The drivers here are 12mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers and the buds have automatic left/right channel adaptation to deliver consistent sound even if you don’t have the right setting. Bluetooth is 5.4 and the companion smartphone app lets you customize the touch controls and equalizer settings.
Battery life is promised at six hours with the earbuds and 18 more hours with the charging case. You can recharge from scratch in 10 minutes for two hours of gameplay.
We’ve reviewed Soundpeats headphones in the past and found them impressive for their price; So, for example, while the Soundpeats Air 4 Pro are not up to the standards of the AirPods Pro 2 with which they are designed to rival, they are not bad when we take into account that they cost less than a third of the price of the Apple product. We were expecting a similar situation with these headphones – the Bose models will no doubt sound better, but given the choice between £299 headphones and £29 headphones, the budget option looks hugely tempting…
The new Soundpeats PearlClip Pro is now available for pre-order for $29.99 and will be available on Amazon US for $59.99 starting January 20. Pricing and availability for other markets have yet to be announced, but if you could get that lower price. where you are, it would cost around £23.99 or AU$48. And that’s impressive no matter how you look at it.
