- Spotify has launched a new feature in its search center called upcoming releases
- Users can now see and anticipate the next two lista albums based on their listening history and the most preferred albums worldwide
- The next releases also offer listeners a space to access countdown, merchandising and more
Spotify is really doing everything possible to demonstrate that it is still the best music transmission service, and its next release center recently launched exactly that. The platform has just launched the new function, creating a space in the application dedicated to maintaining eyelashes in the new album releases.
Yesterday, Spotify announced the function in a blog post and, as its name suggests, it will allow you to see and foresee the recommended albums that will soon be launched based on your single -place personal listening habits. In addition, you can also see the 10 new main advance launches based on the amount of global pre-saves.
One of the best parts of the next release center is that it is very easy to find in the Spotify application. Go to the main search center and move down to ‘Navigate everything’, and there you will find the new release section next to your center ‘Made for you’. From there, you can foresee the next problems without problems, and you can quickly access the pages back to the albums to see the list of songs, listen to singles, visit Merch and see clips.
The next releases marks the first in Spotify and significantly improves the music streamer approach to give fans more ways to stay in the loop with new music. Last year, Spotify presented countdown to artists who not only gave a new life to album launch strategies, but gave fans a new way of committing to exaggeration prior to launch.
Now that Spotify has launched the next release center driven by Countdown pages, I could give the platform an advantage to approach the new music, and I’m already warming up.
I like what I see, I like it a lot
Like any obsessive music, having my ear on the floor with new music releases is in my nature, however, it can be a task when it comes to monitoring new albums, especially if you hear many different genres and artists like me.
But the next Spotify launch center could be the answer to all my new music questions, and I don’t think I have taken a new feature so quickly since the lists of days landed in 2023.
Until now, the next releases are limited to two different categories, ‘for you’ and ‘Top 10 regressive accounts’, which is the only inconvenience of the new feature, but I hope this is intentional.
It would make sense that Spotify begins little and then develops in the function as users get used to, so I would like to see Spotify add specific gender recommendations, for example, ‘more popular independent launches’, or even a section that groups albums that will soon be thrown from the artists who travel their local area.
I think there is a lot of space for this new feature to evolve, but it is still early and at this time, I am excited to try the waters and see how often the recommendations are updated. In addition, it will save me time by moving through the list of new Metacritic launches to discover who is taking new material.
