The NFL Legend Eddie George weighs the training offer of Bowling Green, report


The Green Bowling hawks seem to be resorting to a NFL legend, since the football program seeks to fill its vacancy in the chief coach. According to ESPN, the school has extended an offer to Eddie George.

The former Tennessee Titans corridor still passes on Saturdays in autumn at the Nissan Stadium, the same building where TouchDowns obtained during his outstanding race in the NFL. George is currently the Tennessee State Tigers football coach and the school shares the stadium with the Titans.

Bowling Green interviewed George earlier this week and seems to have a genuine interest on the occasion, according to the report.

George amounted to football stardom during his star period in the state of Ohio, which culminated with him winning the 1995 Heisman trophy. He hastened 3,768 yards during his time with the Buckeyes.

The state of Tennessee has experienced success under George. The Tigers hit their ticket to the FCS playoffs last season, which marked first place in the program playoffs since 2013.

George spent most of his professional football career with the organization of the Titans, before closing his time at the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys. It has 10,441 yards by land and remains the leader of Rushing of the Titans.

George’s mandate in TSU is in line with a tendency of the greats of the NFL who face chief training work in historically black schools and universities (HBCU).

Deion Sanders was appointed chief coach in Jackson State in 2020. He currently trains in Colorado. Michael Vick was recently appointed the next chief coach in the state of Norfolk and wish Jackson will train the football team of the Delaware state in this next season.
