The NFL retracts Joe Mixon’s fine after the appeal is victorious

The NFL Star Joe Mixon wallet will not be lighter of $ 25,000.

The League revoked the fine that he previously delivered after the Houston Texans corridor directed some criticism of the referees in a playoff game last month.

The Texans suffered a 23-14 defeat against the eventual AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs on January 18. Mixon received the fine for his comments after the game and after the defense of the Texans was penalized twice by the hits in the field marshal of the Patrick Mahomes bosses.

In a letter to Mixon, Appeals officer Chris Palmer said during the hearing process that it was determined that Mixon “did not necessarily criticize officials.”

When asked about the trade after the game, Mixon said: “Everyone knows how he is playing here.”

“You can never leave it in the hands of the referees,” Mixon said. “The whole world sees, man, what it is. When it comes to him, you can never leave it in the hands of the referees. However, everything is fine.”

The letter added that “the integrity of the game and its officials is the responsibility of all those involved in the NFL.”

“During the appeal hearing, you declared what you meant with your statements that refer to officials,” Palmer said in the letter. “As you know, each individual can interpret the statements differently and it seems that the weight and detriment of public criticisms towards officials can be clearly, given how shocking their platform is as a player, what I appreciate.”

Mixon was originally fined by a comment, the former Cincinnati receiver, TJ Houshmandzadeh, published on social networks.

“Why play the game if each call 50/50 goes with the chiefs,” Houshmandzadeh wrote in X, previously known as Twitter, in a show of its apparent agreement with the corridor.

The comment was attributed incorrectly to Mixon in a story of Sports Illustrated.

Later in the day, it was fined.

The NFL once again issued the fine for the comments that Mixon really did. Sports Illustrated also corrected the error in which the commentary on X of Houshmandzadeh was attributed.

Mixon finished the game of the divisional round against the chiefs with 88 yards by land. He appeared in 14 regular seasonal games during his first season with the Texans, running for 1,016 yards.
