The Night Manager Series 3: Everything we know so far about the return of Tom Hiddleston’s thriller: “there’s a lot more to come”

The Night Manager season 3: key information

  • Season 3 was first confirmed (along with Season 2) in April 2024.
  • There will not be a 10-year delay between seasons 2 and 3, unlike seasons 1 and 2
  • The third series broke records for the BBC; Episode one had 8.7 million views.
  • In February 2026, writer David Farr is just beginning the writing process.
  • While casting is yet to be confirmed, Tom Hiddleston is likely to reprise his role as Jonathan Pine, as is Hugh Laurie as Richard Roper, while Farr is said to be keen to see the return of Indira Varma (playing Mayra Cavendish), Sally (Hayley Squire) and Danny (Noah Jupe).
  • Season 3 is considered the final part of The Night Manager trilogy
  • The plot will focus on what Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) told Pine in a voicemail, that there is “something beyond Roper, there is a bigger game plan and I have the name…”
  • It’s unlikely we’ll see the next series before 2028, although no official dates have been given yet.

Fans of The night manager (or, indeed, fans of Tom Hiddleston playing the best role of his career as suave secret agent Jonathan Pine) will be delighted to know that, after a 10-year gap between seasons 1 and 2, a third series has been commissioned and will arrive sooner.
