- Nintendo is expanding its association with the Baseball team of the Seattle sailors before Opening Season 2025
- The Nintendo logo will be presented on the homemade t -shirts and a Nintendo Switch 2 logo in out -of -t -shirts
- Seattle Mariner midfielder, Julio Rodríguez, will perform as a brand ambassador to promote the association
Nintendo is expanding his association with the Seattle sailors before the 2025 MLB opening season, becoming the first official partner of the baseball team.
Nintendo announced the new collaboration with a new promotional video released today on X / Twitter, which shows the Seattle Mariner midfielder Julio Rodríguez with his new Jersey with the red logo of Nintendo in the sleeve.
Next season will begin on March 27, also known as the Opening Day, and each member of the Baseball team of the Seattle sailors will exhibit the Nintendo Racetrack logo in its local shirts and a Nintendo Switch 2 logo in T -shirts.
“Nintendo and the sailors have been inextricably linked since 1992,” said Kevin Martínez, president of Commercial Operations of Seattle Mariners, in a press release.
“Now, every time the sailors take the field, our Jersey sleeves will help serve as a reminder of everything Nintendo of America has done for the Northwest community and the team. There is no better association in Major League Baseball. We are grateful for our incredible relationship with Nintendo.”

Julio Rodríguez will also promote the association between the sailors and Nintendo by serving as an ambassador of the brand.
“It is a genuine emotion to be associated with such a talented team, including bright stars like Julio,” said Doug Bowser, president and operations director of Nintendo of America.
“Our story with the sailors dates back to decades, so this really feels like returning home. Nintendo has many exciting news this year and through collaborations like this, we cannot wait to create even more smiles in all generations. They go to the sailors!”
This expanded association is presented just ahead of the Nintendo Direct Showcase on April 2, which will probably reveal a release date for Nintendo Switch 2.
