- A mention of GPT-4.5 has just appeared on Android
- Suggests that a complete launch could be imminent
- At this time the model cannot be accessed
While Operai has not been loosening in terms of expelling new functions for Chatgpt users, we are still waiting patiently the next update to the GPT-4o model that was expelled last year, and the wait can soon end.
The users of the Chatgpt Android application have seen (through the Android Police) a mention of a “GPT-4.5 research view on an emerging alert within the application, which seems to us the next version of the Chatgpt’s underlying model.
However, playing the alert actually does nothing at this time, and it does not appear for all Android users. That suggests that this is something that has run out before what should.
While we do not obtain an official debut date for GPT-4.5 here, and OpenAi has not yet said much publicly about its launch, the sliding in the Android application points to the model that arrives sooner rather than later, at least previously.
What could GPT-4.5 bring?

The OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman, recently went to the record to say that GPT-4.5 would be the independent final model published by the company, with future releases that combine all the available models (including the models of reasoning of the O series O) in a single package.
As for what he will bring with him, we can expect the usual advances in precision, coding, mathematics, summarizing. The largest context windows, basically lengths, can basically be compatible, and the broader contextual consciousness is also a great possibility.
However, this will only be an advance of 0.5: GPT-5 should be a larger update, although it is unlikely to be launched this year. That should see all the tools of chatgpt packed together, including characteristics such as the recently revealed deep research mode.
We can expect GPT-4.5 to be exclusive to pay Chatgpt users first, before free users arrive. Meanwhile, the many OpenI rivals in the AI field do not show signs of deceleration with their own releases.
