A four -year -old boy was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday after being hit by a tank truck in the city of Baldia, the police and Karachi rescue officials confirmed.
The incident occurred near Abidabad, where the child, identified as AFFAN, son of Jasim, was playing and trying to cross the road when he was beaten, Express News reported.
The rescue teams rushed to the scene and transferred the child’s body to the Karachi Civil Hospital. Police said an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident and track the vehicle.
The authorities have not yet confirmed whether the oil driver has been arrested.
Earlier this week, the enraged mobs put at least nine heavy vehicles at night between Wednesday and Thursday after a Dumper hit a motorcyclist and the driver tried to escape.
Police then arrested more than a dozen people identified with the help of CCTV and video.
Police highs also warned the leader of the oil towns who had come to the site of a vehicle burned with heavily armed men who challenge the incendiary.
