The Olympic gold medalist Sha’carri Richardson was arrested last weekend allegedly assaulting his boyfriend.
The couple was at the Seattle Tacoma airport on Sunday when an officer at the airport was notified by a supervisor of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of a disturbance between Richardson and his boyfriend, the sprinter Christian Coleman, according to the police report, through Associated Press.
It is alleged that Richardson grabbed Coleman’s backpack and threw it and put Coleman on a wall and was apparently caught in surveillance.

Later, the report said Richardson seemed to throw an article to Coleman, which the TSA indicated that they may have been headphones.
In the police report, the officer said: “They told me that Coleman didn’t want to participate in the investigation and refused to be a victim.”

Richardson won the 100 in the 2023 World Championship in Budapest and ended with the money at the event at the Paris Games last summer. He also helped take 4×100 relief to an Olympic gold.
