“I reached a really good shot for once, so it was quite pleasant. It was a rather comfortable shot where I knew I had a great window to land the ball,” Parry said, according to The Open’s website.
“Or I was going to launch in short, hit the bottom and feed or, it was a little stronger than I thought I would do it from that distance from the club I hit. But I felt it would be close.”
Emiliano Grillo hit a hole in one in the same hole when the open was in Royal Portrush six years ago.
The hole in one of Parry was 31 at the Open since 1981.
