The outbreak of water transmitted by water reaches the help fields

LAHORE:

Generalized floods in Punjab have left children in several affected areas that suffer from fever and diarrheal diseases.

The officials of the Provincial Health Department said the administration has directed the expansion of medical camps in areas affected by floods to protect lives and prevent more outbreaks.

Families are urged along the riberies to move to safer places, with the promised ships to help in their evacuation.

The reports indicate that in the regions affected by floods along the Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab rivers, as well as parts of fine, children get sick more and more due to unhealthy conditions and seasonal changes.

Families that take refuge near the banks of the rivers remain vulnerable, although help medical camps are providing medications to both children and adults.

In the camps, children are being treated with fever and syrups for cough, antibiotics and injections, while parents are advised to guarantee access to drinking water.

Meanwhile, the authorities have warned that additional flood waters are expected to enter the rivers in the coming days.

The Administration has received instructions to prioritize preventive measures, including the timely evacuation of residents of vulnerable settlements on the river’s shore before floods intensify.

The authorities emphasized that safeguard lives must continue to be the main priority, along with efforts to minimize the destruction of communities and livelihoods.
