The New York Knicks had not advanced to the end of the Eastern Conference since 2000 before doing so, finally losing to the Indiana Pacers in six games. Three days after the New York playoff departure, the Knicks announced on Tuesday that they would move from coach Tom Thibodeau.
The coach of the Pacers, Rick Carlisle, praised Thibodeau on Wednesday for what he achieved in New York.
“Thibs entered and changed a lot,” he said.

Carlisle, who also works as head of the National Association of Basketball Trainers, said he assumed that the news of Thibodeau’s dismissal was false.

“You look at all that and what happened yesterday, I thought it was a false thing of AI, in no way possible. I know how players feel about him too.”

While the search for the Knicks of his next chief coach is launched, at least a high -profile coach already seems to be out of the race.

Dan Hurley’s name has been linked to the opening of the work, but UConn chief coach seems to have little interest in making the jump to the NBA.
“No other summer of that,” Hurley told Hartford Courant.
On Wednesday, ESPN reported that the Phoenix Suns intend to name Jordan Ott as his next chief coach.
