Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal de Pakistan broke into the quarterfinals of the Asian doubles Squash Championship on June 24, after a dominant victory of the straight games over the Chinese Taipei.
The duo did a light job of his final opponents in the group stage, defeating Chi Yu-Wei and Chen Ching-Fu 11–2, 11–9 in just 11 minutes to the superior group B.
With the victory, they assured a place in the quarterfinals, where they faced South Korea later the same day.
Zaman and Iqbal have remained undefeated throughout the group stage, starting their campaign on Monday with two integral victories.
They opened with a 11–4, 11–1 victory over South Korea, before dominating the Philippines 11–7, 11–4 in their second game.
His consistent form has helped Pakistan end at the top of his group, which also included teams from the Philippines, Singapore and South Korea.
The championship format presents group parties of swirls in the first two days, followed by elimination rounds that begin on June 25.
The finals in the categories of male, female and mixed doubles are scheduled for June 26.
The Fahim Gul team coach and the contingent manager Amir Nawaz have been guiding the team through the Kuching tournament, where Pakistan now aims to continue his winning career in the elimination phase.
