Nick Castellanos found himself in an unknown territory during the first launch of the Philadelphia Filis match against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday.

The Filis gardener dedicated himself to a heated exchange with the Philadelphia manager, Rob Thomson, during the 5-2 victory of the team over the Marlins on Monday. Shortly before the start of the second game of the four -game series among the rivals of the Eastern Division of the National League, Thomson told journalists that Castellanos would be retained from Tuesday’s initial alignment.

Thomson cited an “inappropriate comment” that Castellanos did, which seemed to incite the manager to sit the star’s right gardener for at least one game. The comment in question was made at some point after Castellanos was withdrawn from Monday’s contest.

“One of Nick’s many things that I love is very emotional,” said Thomson. “He loves playing, and loves to play every game of each game. I thought last night he made an inappropriate comment after he left, and today he will not play. And I will leave it that way.”

Max Kepler moved from his position in the central field to handle the right garden tasks for Castilians. Meanwhile, Johan Rojas became the new game midfielder. Kepler began in the right garden on Tuesday in Miami.

Castellanos said he was less than happy to be withdrawn from Monday’s game.

“I wasn’t happy with that. My mind spoke,” Castellanos said, according to the philadelphia inquiring. “He said I crossed a line. So my punishment is not playing.”

He also acknowledged that the manager has the last word about who plays and does not play in a particular game. “It’s his decision. He is the manager,” Castellanos said, according to athletics.

Castellanos signed a five -year mass contract with the Philis in 2022. The 33 -year -old gardener has an average batting of .278 and has reached seven homers in 72 games this season.

Before Tuesday, Castellanos had not lost a game since September 30, 2023.
