‘The Pitt’ Season 2 Finale Hits Theaters Ahead of HBO Max Debut


The pitHBO Max’s Emmy-winning medical drama is breaking new ground with an early theatrical release of its Season 2 finale, partnering with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for nationwide screenings ahead of its streaming debut.

Warner Bros. Television and HBO Max have announced that the season 2 finale of The pit will screen at select Alamo Drafthouse locations in the US on April 13, three days before its premiere on HBO Max on April 16.

The screenings are framed as a tribute to healthcare workers, celebrating their dedication to communities across the country.

Active and retired healthcare professionals are invited to reserve seats with a $10 food and beverage voucher, while all attendees will receive exclusive The pit gifts.

Participating theaters include venues in New York City, Boston, Raleigh, Naples, Dallas, Austin, Denver, San Francisco, the Twin Cities and Los Angeles.

R. Scott Gemmill’s The pit features Noah Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch.

The drama follows a team of healthcare workers in Pittsburgh.

The cast includes Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Sepideh Moafi.

Produced by John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television, the series has become a critical favorite, winning five Emmy Awards for its first season, including Outstanding Drama Series and Lead Actor for Wyle.

It also won a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series and was named one of AFI’s Top Ten TV Shows of 2025.

With Season 3 now authorized, the theatrical release of the Season 2 finale reflects the cultural impact of the show and HBO Max’s push to create event-style experiences around its most famous titles.
