The president of the Association of Lawyers of the Supreme Court (SCBA), Rauf Atta, met on Saturday with the president of the president of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, and appreciated his role as president of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP).
Atta also called the President of the Superior Court of Islamabad, Aamer Farooq, and supported the transfer of three judges of the provincial Superior Courts of Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan to the Superior Court of the capital.
According to a statement issued by the SCBA, both meetings encapsulated discussions about a variety of issues related to the general performance of the Judiciary.
“The President praised the President of the Supreme Court of Pakistan for the steps taken for the efficient functioning of the Court, which has effectively resulted in the reduction of a long -standing pendency.
“In addition to this, the president welcomed the visits of the president of the president of Pakistan to all corners and corners of the country to meet with representatives of numerous lawyer associations to address the genuine complaints of the legal fraternity at the base level,” .
The statement cited Atta saying that such steps are essential and are aimed at the vibrant and efficient functioning of the entire judicial structure.
The president of SCBA also appreciated the role of the president of the president of Pakistan as president of the JCP.
He said that recent appointments made by the JCP are the need for the time and that all the legal fraternity in general, and the SCBA, in particular, approve the same.
In his subsequent meeting with the president of the Supreme Court of IHC, the SCBA official praised recent appointments and transfers of additional judges in the IHC, particularly those of Baluchistan.
“This reflects the principles of federalism and improves diversity within the Judiciary. [Hopefully] These new judges will contribute to the timely and efficient administration of justice and will relieve the difficulties facing common citizens. “
During both meetings, the president of SCBA highlighted the importance of mutual respect between the bar and the bank and the esteem insured respect and reverence by the bank on behalf of the legal community.
