The president of the PTA reconciles with the president of ANP

Peshawar:

The president of the Telecommunications Authority of Pakistan (PTA), General General (RETD) Hafeez-Ur-Rehman, visited the Khan Markaz Bacha to repair the ties with the president of the National Party Awami (ANP), Aimal Wali Khan, after a recent dispute. The meeting ended with a positive note, with both leaders hugging and reconciling their differences.

The two had a disagreement during a session of the Permanent Committee of the National Assembly. In a gesture of good will and according to the traditions of Pashtun, the president of the PTA arrived at Bacha Khan Markaz accompanied by a jirga. Aimal Wali Khan hotly received the delegation and accepted his apologies.

Speaking on the occasion, Rehman said that the misunderstanding that happened was involuntary and unfortunate. “I had expressed my regret at that time and I have come here again to clear the air. I hold Senator Aimal Wali Khan and his family in the highest esteem,” he said.
