Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned on Friday the approval of the Israeli cabinet of a plan to take control of the city of Gaza, qualifying it from an illegal and illegitimate action. In a statement, he described the movement as a dangerous escalation in the ongoing war against the Palestinian people.
“This is equivalent to a dangerous escalation in an already catastrophic war against the people of Palestine. This expansion of military operations will only worsen the existing humanitarian crisis and any peace perspective in the region will derail,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz, emphasizing that such actions are harmful to regional stability.
We firmly condemn the approval of the Israeli cabinet of a plan to take illegal and illegitimate control of the city of Gaza. This is equivalent to a dangerous escalation in an already catastrophic war against the people of Palestine.
This expansion of military operations will only get worse …

He emphasized the root cause of the current tragedy, stating: “That is the prolonged illegal occupation of Israel of the Palestinian territory. While this occupation lasts, peace will remain difficult to achieve.”
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the unwavering support of Pakistan to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including his right to self-determination and the creation of an independent and sovereign state of Palestine, with Al-Quds al-Sharif as their capital, in line with the United Nations and the relevant organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC).

The prime minister asked the international community to intervene urgently, demanding an immediate high for the aggression of Israel, the protection of innocent civilians and the delivery of very necessary humanitarian aid to Gaza.
A day before, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel plans to take total control of Gaza, but does not intend to govern him, since he convened his security cabinet to discuss the updated plans 22 months after the war.
The cabinet meeting occurs when Netanyahu faces a mounting pressure at home and abroad for a truce agreement to remove the more than two million people from Gaza from the edge of the famine and the hostages of the Palestinian militants.
With the increase in tensions, Netanyahu resorted to the US Fox News network that the Government intends to confiscate the complete control of the Gaza Strip.
When asked if Israel will take control of “All Gaza,” Netyahu said: “We intend to do so.”
It was expected that it would seek the approval of the cabinet for an expanded offensive, which could see that the terrestrial troops operate in densely populated areas where the hostages are celebrated, Israeli media reported.
