LAHORE:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held the telephone conversations with Iranian President, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian and Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan and discussed the Israeli aggression with them.

The prime minister said that Pakistan remained resolved in solidarity with the fraternal people and the Iran government in the face of the unjustified and unjustified aggression of Israel.

He strongly condemned Israeli attacks against Iran, who violated their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and completely challenged the UN letter and international law. Iran had the right to self -defense, as provided in article 51 of the UN Charter, he added.

While expressing more condolences to President Pezeshkian for the loss of precious lives in attacks, the prime minister recalled Iran’s support at the Emergency Meeting of the UN Security Council, held on Friday.

The prime minister denounced the flagrant provocations and adventures of Israel as a serious threat to regional and global peace and stability. He also strongly condemned the genocidal campaign of Israel against the brave Palestinians, carried out with total impunity.

He urged the international community and the United Nations to take urgent and credible measures to end the aggressive behavior of Israel and its illegal actions. He said that Pakistan was completely committed to the promotion of peace in the region and was ready to play his role in this context.

President Pezeshkian thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for Pakistan’s support and solidarity with Iran at this difficult time, particularly in the UN Security Council. He said that this gesture reflects close and fraternal relations between the two countries.

He learned the Prime Minister about Iran’s perspective about the crisis with Israel and urged the international community, particularly Islamic countries, to work together to counteract these threats.

Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact.

Iranian president criticized what he described as the “dishonesty” of the United States to support Israel, while Washington and Tehran were involved in nuclear conversations. “The coordination of the Zionist regime with the United States in its aggression against the Iranian territory in the midst of negotiations is a sign of dishonesty and lack of reliability of the United States,” said fishshkian in a telephone call with Prime Minister, according to Iranian presidency.

He warned that there would be a “more severe and powerful response” if Israel continued to attack his country.

“The continuation of the Zionist aggression will find a more severe and powerful response of the Iranian armed forces,” Pe fishhkian told Prime Minister, according to the Iranian presidency.

The prime minister also held a telephone conversation with the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye, and the two agreed that “the unprovoked aggression of Israel against Iran” was “a shameless violation of international law and a threat to regional peace.”

Both leaders discussed the deeply worrying situation in the region following the unjustified and unjustified aggression of Israel against Iran.

The two leaders agreed that Israel’s military attacks had violated Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in clear contravention of the UN Charter and International Law, while seriously endangering regional and global peace and stability. They also denounced Israel’s shameless military aggression against the brave Palestinian town, which continued with total impunity.

The two leaders emphasized that the international community and the United Nations must act collectively and urge Israel to immediately end their aggressive position and illegal actions against Iran, Palestine and other countries in the region.

While renewing Pakistan’s firm and unwavering commitment to defend international peace, security and stability, the prime minister said that Pakistan would continue to play a constructive role for peace, both as a member of the UN Security Council, as well as in other forums such as OIC.

In this sense, the prime minister said that the Deputy Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, would represent Pakistan at the next OIC CFM meeting in Estanbul. He also congratulated President Erdogan for being decorated by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF).

OIC session

Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif asked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to celebrate an emergency meeting to develop a joint strategy in response to the continuous aggression of Israel.

Speaking in the National Assembly, the Minister condemned the brutal actions of Israel, especially his military aggression against Iran.

He called him a serious threat to regional and global peace. “Palestinian children are being killed, but there are more protests in non -Muslim countries than in Muslim nations,” he said with regret.

He warned that if the Muslim world does not act together, each country will eventually become an objective. “The way Israel has attacked Yemen, Iran and Palestine shows a larger plan. Most Muslim nations already face security risks. Now a strong leadership is needed,” he said.

He highlighted how the world was closely observing Pakistan’s coastal borders during recent tensions, and how Pakistan’s armed forces defended the nation bravely. “Our Navy’s response forced the enemy to retire,” he said.

The defense minister said that while Pakistan’s military force is commendable, the economy must also be strong.

He praised Pakistan’s youth, especially cyber experts, for giving a strong blow to India during a recent cyber conflict. “Our young people closed the lights in the stadiums, interrupted the IPL games and even affected the dams. Their skills surprised the world,” he said.

He added that the recent Bunyanum Marsoos military operation was a turning point, both strategically and for national morals. He said that Pakistan’s response to Indian attacks was firm and timely. “We returned with all your strength,” he said.

Parliament members have requested an urgent meeting of the organization of Islamic countries (OIC) to stop the Israeli war in Gaza and now in Iran.

They said that Israel’s attack in Iran is an open terrorist act.

They said it is the need for the time that all Muslim states show their unity against Israeli aggression.
