- The public beta of iOS 26 could be launched this week, says a new report
- It is delayed a bit compared to the usual public launch date
- It is unlikely that this goes back the complete launch of iOS 26, which is expected in September
The Beta developer of iOS 26 has been out since the World Developer Conference of Apple (WWDC) in June 2025, but it has been anxious to have in your hands the beta version without requiring a developer account, there is good news, since it is rumored that the public beta iOS 26 will launch as soon as this week.
That is according to the last Power On Boletter ($/£) by Bloomberg Mark Gurman’s reporter. There, Gurman revealed that “all indications are that iOS 26 should enter the public beta phase next week.”
That will carry the iOS operating system to a much broader audience than it currently has, although it is not the complete and ready to carry, which is expected in September, along with the revelation of the iPhone 17 range.
In a publication about X last week, Gurman said that the public beta of iOS 26 could be launched or around Wednesday, July 23, and the subsequent Power on Update seems to suggest that Gurman is still sure of that moment.
New features soon
Gurman’s report also briefly touched iOS 27, which will come out in 2026. Gurman believes that Apple has already begun development in this software, which he will focus on the characteristics destined for Apple’s folding iPhone.
It is rumored that it will be launched in the second half of 2026, or perhaps in early 2027, and will mark Apple’s first attempt to highlight the best current market phones in the market. Therefore, there is a lot of pressure on Apple to do it well, perhaps explaining the early beginning in iOS 27.
In the past, Apple has tended to launch its public betas in mid -July, so the discussed release date of July 23 is a little later than usual. Gurman attributes this to the full liquid glass redesign in iOS 26, saying: “It makes sense that Apple wants to take a little extra time to do things well.”
But Gurman is not worried about this delayed beta launch date, and adds that it is unlikely to withdraw the presentation of the full version of iOS 26.
In addition to iOS 26, Apple will surely launch public betas for macos 26, iPados 26, Watchos 26, Tvvos 26 and an update of the Homepod operating system at the same time.
The iOS 26 update brings a radically reviewed appearance thanks to the liquid glass redesign, as well as greater protection against spam calls, a new application of games, updates of Apple’s intelligence and more.
And with the public beta allegedly throwing this week, you can soon try them for yourself, just make sure to make a backup copy of your iPhone first in case something goes wrong.
