The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, declared on Wednesday that the statements of regional domain of India have broken after recent developments, adding that there is “mourning” in India for not undermining Pakistan’s diplomatic position.
Dar comments followed important diplomatic commitments during his recent visit to China, where he held bilateral meetings with Chinese Foreign Minister and participated in a trilateral meeting with Afghan officials.
The visit, which also served as thanks to China for his support in the issue of Pahalgam, highlighted the growing international recognition of Pakistan’s position.

“India lied to damage Pakistan, and today, their regional superiority statements have been reduced to dust,” said Dar, stressing that Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression has been effective and measured. He praised the diplomatic scope led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bilawal Bhutto, who has obtained international acclamation for his clarity.
The growing tension between Pakistan and India began on April 22 with the attack in the Pahalgam area of India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmira (Iiojk), where 26 people were killed.
India immediately blamed Pakistan without providing evidence, while Islamabad denied New Delhi’s claim and requested an independent investigation.
The government led by Narendra Modi in India later took a series of hostile actions, including the suspension of the 65-year-old Indus Water Treaty (IWT), canceling visas for Pakistani citizens, closing the border crossing of Wagah-Attari, ordering the closure of the high commission of Pakistan in New Delhi, and the reduction of the diplomatic staff of the attenuated.
Pakistan retaliates with rapid shares, including countermeasures such as stopping trade and the closure of airspace, were followed by a series of military commitments.

On May 7, missile attacks reached the Pakistani cities, which resulted in civilian casualties. Pakistan responded by demolishing Indian combat planes and neutralizing drones.
Despite the military confrontations, the war of narratives continued even after the president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced a high fire, on May 10.

In addition to his comments on the incident of Pahalgam, Dar also highlighted the positive diplomatic commitments during the visit of the prime minister to Turkiye, strengthening bilateral ties.
He reiterated that both India and Pakistan are nations with nuclear weapons, and highlighted the possible consequences of any additional aggression.
