The National Responsibility Office (NAB) registered record figures for the second quarter of 2025, recovering RS456.3 billion, almost five times more than the RS91 billion recovered in the first quarter, which marked a significant leap in its anti -corruption efforts, the associated Pakistan press (APP) reported on Saturday.
With this, the total recoveries for the first half of the year have reached RS547.31 billion. A NAB spokesman declared that a substantial part of this amount, assets worth more than RS532 billion, has been delivered to the government.
“Beyond the statistics, these recoveries reflect real progress in holding corrupt elements and returning wealth to the State,” said the spokesman. “Thousands of victims who were disappointed in several scams have also been compensated.”

According to a Press statement from NAB, mobile and real estate properties worth RS532.33 billion have been disbursed among federal and provincial government institutions, as well as financial organizations.
Until now, more than 12,000 people affected by public fraud schemes have received financial restitution. Total office recoveries in the last two years are now in RS5.85 billion, more than seven times the amount it had recovered since its inception in 1999.
“This is not just a number. It represents the extraordinary effort of our teams throughout the country,” added the spokesman. “We are determined to continue this impulse.”
Among the high profile recoveries, Nab Rawalpindi recovered state land worth RS29 billion in the E-11 sector of Islamabad, which was delivered to the capital development authority. In the B4U scam, RS3 billion recovered and will be distributed among more than 17,000 affected, with an additional 4 billion expected rupees in the current quarter.
NAB also facilitated land transfer under a housing scheme to ensure long -awaited compensation for investors. In another case, Nab Sukkur claimed land worth more than RS25 billion private entities, marking significant success in efforts to recover public assets.

The office reported that forest lands valued at RS384 billion recovered only in the second quarter, which raised the total value of such recoveries to more than RS1.48 billion. In Lahore, RS3.2 billion was disbursed to almost 12,000 victims in the case of housing of Eden. In the case of Pak Arab, eight properties worth RS3.9 billion were delivered and are currently being processed for transfer.
Separately, a guilt treatment that amounts to RS2.18 billion is negotiating with the owners of the Elite Town housing society. The income is intended for distribution between approximately 1,800 affected.
Looking towards the future, NAB has changed its approach to the recovery of invited state lands. In collaboration with the provincial income departments, the office has identified illegally estimated occupied properties that are worth almost RS5 billion.
“NAB is unwavering in his mission of recovering until the last rupe of national wealth and bringing justice to those who have looted public funds,” said the spokesman. “Our actions speak for themselves, and the numbers reflect a broader impulse for responsibility and reform.”
The office has asked all interested parties, including public institutions and civil society, which supports their efforts for transparency and good governance.
