Colorado rockies have supported the relay pitcher Jimmy Herget this season. But last week, he has experienced a notable increase in his workload.
After being called from the Bullpen of the Rockies for the fourth time in the span of a week, Herget arrived at a press conference with a humorous shirt that referred to the state of his launch arm.
After the victory of Colorado over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, the veteran pitcher wore a shirt that said: “My arm hurts.”

“It’s a small fun thing that I like to do after launching,” Herget told journalists.

Then he clarified his status.
“I feel good,” Herget added.

Relief pitchers are sometimes called to the mound for consecutive games, but Herget will probably thank a break after their four appearances for seven days.
Herget has an effectiveness of 2.73 this season and has appeared in 44 games.

Herget made eight appearances in relief with the Braves of Atlanta last season. He spent 2021-23 with Los Angeles Angels.
The rockies entered the game on Saturday night against the diamondbacks at the bottom of the NL West classification.
