- Roku Pro and Plus Series TV models are receiving some updates
- The personalized factory calibration is reaching the Roku Pro series
- The Plus series is obtaining led mini backlight and a large amount of software improvements
Today, the Stick Transmission and the intelligent televisions manufacturer Roku announced a range of improvements for their current models of the Roku Pro series and Roku Plus, as well as a new 85 -inch screen size option for their selected series -level series televisions.
The Roku Pro series, the budget option in our best televisions guide, will now obtain a personalized factory calibration, a process designed to ensure that “each television delivers an impressive image of the box.”
The most significant announced changes are for the televisions of the Roku Plus series of medium range, which now have led mini backight. Combined with the television screen panel, this should carry the brightness and color benefits of the Pro series at a much cheaper price. The Plus series televisions will also get Roku Smart Picture Max, a feature that makes image settings on a scene by scene, so you do not have to worry about the configuration of images.
Roku Plus series televisions will also get a remote search button, first introduced into the Pro series. This feature allows you to easily locate a remote control buried between the sofa cushions or left in a different room.
In addition, the Integrated Pro series cable management, an outstanding design design that we appreciate in our TV review of the Roku Pro series, is also migrating to the Plus series.
Finally, the complete Roku TV line will now have a Bluetooth headphones mode, allowing an easy wireless connection of the TV for private visualization.
A new better budget television?
The Roku Pro series has been among our regular recommendations for spectators looking to update their TV to one with a background light led by Mini without having to assume the debt of excess credit cards.
With less than $ 1,000 for a 65 -inch screen size, the PRO series is an exceptional value, which offers additional benefits such as 4K 120Hz support for games, an elegant design and, of course, the excellent intelligent TV interface of Roku.
With mini backlights now led in the Plus series, along with Smart Picture Max, Remote Finder and Integrated Cable Management, we can now have a new TV option with budget.
Roku’s announcement indicated that updated Plus series televisions would be available at the “same affordable price.” With the current model of the 65 -inch Plus series with a price of $ 649 (and now it is sold for $ 499), the new Plus series should be a convincing value, competing face to face with other televisions led by high -value mini such as the U6n St.
We hope to have our hands on the new roku televisions to perform a complete review. Meanwhile, see our coverage of the new Roku transmission sticks introduced in today’s event.
