Athletics’ rookie campocort, Jacob Wilson, has taken the big leagues by assault.

Wilson, 23, has an average bat of .347 and nine homers in 76 games this season. The average batting of the campocorto is the second in MLB behind the New York Yankees superstar, Aaron Judge (.361) and has the second lowest strikeout rate in baseball with 6.8%.

The rising star said he believes that one of the key factors for his success is the video game, Fortnite.

“Children will love this. Parents are going to hate me. I am a great believer in video games,” Wilson told ESPN.

“It is a fast decision -making strategy. I think that prepares me for the game, because when you are in the box, you have to process a lot.”

Wilson accredits the video game for helping him train his decision making.

“There are a few days when I will wake up, and I will play video games, and then I will go to the field, and I will have a good day. Some days I will not play and I will not see the ball well. I think it really helps me to train the decision making that I have to make six, seven hours later in the baseball field,” said Wilson.

The Athletics Campocort is currently the favorite to win the rookie of the American League year with its strong game.

With Fortnite’s help, Wilson’s game could get it in the stars game next month in Atlanta.

While Wilson could attribute part of his success to Fortnite, much of his success in major leagues comes from a large amount of talent. Jacob is the son of Jack Wilson, who spent 12 seasons in Major League Baseball and made the team of National League stars in 2004 with Pittsburgh’s pirates.

Jack said he believes that video games can help with hand-eo coordination.

“I believe in the hand-label coordination that video games give, as long as you do your homework,” Jack told ESPN. “The children, if you are reading, do your homework.”

Jacob will seek to continue his strong season when athletics (33-49) play the Detroit Tigers (50-31) on Thursday at 1:10 pm et.
