- Users report loading problems with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Plus
- The problem seems derived from using a USB-C 5A cable with a 45W charger
- Samsung claims to be working on a solution, but in the meantime, there are several possible temporary solutions
If you are the lucky owner of a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, you may have encountered a problem that has left you without feeling so lucky. Users report that these devices are charging much more than the speed of 45W announced, or in some cases, not loading at all.
There are reports of this problem in the community forums of Reddit and Samsung (as seen by the Android Police), but both the culprit and a temporary solution seem to have been identified.
Most load problems seem to be found by people who use Samsung’s 45W charger in conjunction with the USB-C 5A cable that is included with the S25 Galaxy. However, in an X publication, Samsung Italy has suggested that using the 3A cable included, on the other hand, should solve the problem.
A software solution
It is not clear if this solution is working for everyone or not, but hopefully a more permanent solution will arrive soon; In the same publication, Samsung Italy said the problem would be solved with a future software update.
Since that publication, the first software update has begun to reach the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, and mentions improvements in the load, although it does not say if this error, in particular, has been crushed.
So, if you have found this problem, be sure to download this update; In fact, you must do it anyway, since it also includes other corrections of errors and security patches.
If that does not work, see if changing a cable 3a helps. Some publications suggest that you can also try to use a slower load brick or turn off the super fast load function on your Galaxy S25 device, and if everything else fails, you can always change to use the wireless load until there is an adequate solution.
But if you have a Samsung Galaxy S25, specifically, instead of a S25 Plus or Ultra, you should not have to do anything, since the base model does not seem affected, presumably because its load speed exceeds 25W instead of 45W.
