- We have more leaked information about the Samsung Galaxy S26
- Hands-on photos and videos of fictional units have surfaced.
- The phones could cost more than their predecessors
We will most likely see the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 phones in the coming months, and the design of two of the models may have already been revealed, while at the same time a price increase for these phones is also rumored.
The leak of the design occurs through photos and videos published by veteran whistleblower @OnLeaks. These photos and videos show dummy units of the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra, so they are non-working mockups based on leaked supply chain information.
It doesn’t look like the design of these phones will change much compared to last year: the Ultra model again matches the standard model with rounded corners instead of square ones, as introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
One visible difference is that the rear cameras are on a single island, rather than kept separate. This is a change we saw with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, so it looks like it will carry over to the 2026 flagships as well.
Release dates and prices
As for colors, we can see the Galaxy S26 in white and the Galaxy S26 Ultra in black and white. These won’t be the only colors that will be offered, and in fact, we’ve already heard several rumors about the shades that will be available.
Joining these two models should be the Galaxy S26 Plus. There doesn’t appear to be a successor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, with poor sales apparently deterring Samsung from releasing a successor.
That revised roadmap may also have pushed back the Galaxy S26 later in the year – the Galaxy S25 series came out in January 2025, although all signs indicate we’ll have to wait until at least February 2026 for the next batch of flagships.
When they arrive, they may cost more than their predecessors, according to tipster @kro_roe. Rising component and manufacturing costs suggest 2026 could be an expensive year if you want to buy a new phone.
